Extended Access & Out of Hours

Non-urgent advice: Extended Hours

We have a limited number of
appointments, both face to face and telephone, outside of normal hours for patients whose circumstances make it difficult to attend during normal working hours.

These are on:
– Tuesday mornings: 07:30 – 08:00
– Tuesday evenings: 18:30 – 20:00
– Thursday mornings: 07:30 – 08:00
– Thursday evenings: 18:30 – 19:15

Phone lines and other services will only be available during normal hours 08:00 – 18:30, not during extended hours.

Non-urgent advice: Extended Access

Practices are now providing more patient appointments in the evenings and at weekends under the new enhanced access service from 1st October 2022.

Enhanced access is available, Monday to Friday from 6:30pm to 8pm and on Saturdays from 9am to 5pm.

Your practice will be able to book you an appointment in any of the network practices or in a hub (you will still be registered with your practice).

Appointment sessions are available for pre-booked appointments only.

Non-urgent advice: Out of Hours – NHS 111

If you have an urgent health problem that cannot wait until your doctor is open, then call free phone 111 or through 111 online.  Your call will be answered by trained operators who will provide advice and direct you to the right local service.

NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and can provide patient information, issue prescriptions to a pharmacy of your choice, book a GP appointment, and, if necessary, refer people to emergency services.

Calls are free from landlines and mobile phones. You can call 111 anywhere in England making it easier for you to access urgent healthcare services when you need medical help fast.
